Most drivers who come to us are self-employed, have the work lined up, and need a vehicle to start on Monday. That is what this is for. It is a straightforward weekly hire on a written agreement, not a lease, not a rent-to-buy, and not a finance product.

You get a Luton with a tail lift or ramp, the V5 details and insurance particulars in writing, and a handover where the mileage, the fuel, the keys and the condition are all recorded and signed by both of us. That record is what protects your deposit.

The terms, in plain numbers

• £250 a week, payable weekly in advance.
• £200 deposit, refundable within 14 days of the van coming back and being inspected.
• £1,000 excess per incident on damage or theft.
• £35 plus VAT admin fee on any penalty charge we have to process for you.
• Fixed hire period, agreed and dated in writing, with extensions recorded separately.

What you need to bring

• A full UK or exchangeable driving licence, plus your DVLA check code
• Proof of address and the right to work in the UK
• The deposit, cleared before the keys change hands

Penalties are yours while you hold the keys

Congestion Charge, ULEZ, parking, bus lanes and speeding: while the van is on hire to you, the liability transfers to you under the hire agreement, and we pass the notice on with the evidence. This is the single thing new hirers get caught by, so it is worth saying plainly rather than burying it in clause 7. Pay them at the discount rate and they cost half.
