Removals and home moves

Most removal jobs go wrong for the same three reasons: nobody checked which floor it was, nobody checked whether the van could park, and nobody counted the stairs. We ask all three at quote stage, because they are the difference between a three-hour job and a full day.

Every move is blanket-wrapped as standard, loaded by the crew rather than by you, and covered by goods in transit insurance from the moment it leaves the door.

What you get

• Two-man crew and a Luton van as standard, more where the inventory needs it
• Blankets, straps and trolleys on every job, not charged as extras
• Furniture dismantled and reassembled where it will not go through a door whole
• Carried into the room you want it in, not left in the hallway
• Goods in transit and public liability cover in place, certificate on request

How the price is worked out

Fixed price, agreed in writing before the van moves. We price on the inventory, the access at both ends and the distance, not on a clock that runs while you watch it.

Hourly is available for smaller jobs where a fixed price would cost you more.

We do not move hazardous goods, fuel, gas bottles or cash and jewellery. Say what is unusual in the load and we will tell you straight whether we can take it.
